As we all know and experience in our day to day life, technological advancements are continuously affecting and influencing our life; we appreciate them only when it makes our life comfortable, easy and enjoyable. To create such changes, it is essential to achieve excellence in engineering and technical education, which poses challenge to all of us- the teachers, the students and other stake holders- associated with teaching and learning, to contribute our best to the society. To achieve this, it becomes our prime responsibility to perform our duty, as teacher and as student, with highest commitment, dedication, cooperation and teamwork. We have performed well in the past, but future demands us to move fast and go far, to become excellent, there is no other option. The national initiatives like ‘Make in India’ inspire us to work hard and shine out as a technocrat capable to contribute at national and international platforms. To excel, we need to identify our weaknesses and eliminate them and build upon our strengths to convert opportunities to success. The excellence of the institute is measured by the end outcome in terms of students’ performance, job placements, admissions to higher studies and finally their success as a professional. Support from the industry and alumni is very essential for development of the institute and individual student, and we have started to work in that direction. Our alumni are performing very well in various capacities and with great capabilities in the field and are contributing towards society; we need to get their involvement in the development of students and their alma-mater. I am sure that improvement in our performance will prove our intentions and actions....... Wishing all to imbibe only ‘The Best’ from all directions................ Prof. (Dr.) M. G. Bhatt, Principal, Shantilal Shah Engineering College, Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India. |
