Civil Engineering department had commenced in
1983.The department is involved in providing quality education by offering
undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Civil Engineering.
In line with the fulfillment of vision and mission of institution. The
department has been offering theoretical and practical knowledge in
various fields to civil arena like Surveying, Transportation
engineering, Hydrology and Hydraulics, Fluid mechanics, Building construction,
Building planning, Railway engineering, Airport engineering, Irrigation
engineering, Environmental Engineering etc.
The department has already applied for NBA
under TEQIP-II .The department has upgraded with latest equipment ,instruments
& software like ARCGIS; for enhancement of technical skills
& competencies.

Mission
Civil Engineering Department has computer lab having 30
number of Desktop having internet connectivity, Projector and screen. Also
Department has procured Arc GIS 10.3 software under TEQIP-II.
Fluid Mechanics lab is equipped with latest hydraulic
bench, 7.0 m Open channel, Wind tunnel, Vortex flow apparatus and other minor
equipment.
Transportation Lab is equipped with Marshal stability
apparatus, Los Angeles abrasion testing machine, Devel attrition testing
machine, Impact test apparatus and Sieve Shaker.
Surveying Lab is equipped with Latest 1’ Total station,
Global Positioning System instrument, Micro optic theodolite, 1’ theodolite,
Auto set level and other minor surveying instruments and equipments.
Environmental Engineering Lab is equipped with latest
water and waste water testing equipments like Double beam UV visible spectrophotometer,
Multi-parameter meter for water testing, Digital D.O. meter, Analytical
balance, Jar test apparatus and other minor water and waste water testing
instruments and glassware. And also have instrument for analysis of
Petrol/CNG/LPG exhaust gas Exhaust gas analyzer, Respirable dust sampler for
ambient air quality monitoring,
